Bramall began his career at Chesterfield, having been born in Sheffield and raised in nearby Worksop. Having impressed within the under-age teams at the Spireites, he caught the attention of Premier League club Everton. Dan moved to the Toffees’ academy in 2013 before signing scholarship forms in July 2015.

Daniel signed his first professional contract with Everton in June 2017, giving him a one-year deal and the opportunity to break into the Under-23s, as a regular for Kevin Sheedy’s Under-18s in the 2016-17 season he had impressed in his midfield role. Unfortunately Bramall didn't get to play much for the Under-23s, however; with only 2 starts and 4 sub appearances. But it was considered enough for the club to offer him another year as a professional in July 2018. Strangely, he played even less for the Under-23s the next season, racking up just one single game in the Premier League Cup against Sheffield United.

After four years at Goodison Park, he was released in June 2019. In a bid to regain his confidence, the 20-year-old dropped down to Matlock Town of the Northern Premier League in an attempt to rebuild his career. He started brightly and went onto make 26 appearances, scoring four goals, for the club before being released to Buxton in March 2020 as part of cost cutting measures. However, he only managed one game for the club, making his debut only days before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent hiatus of all football.

Daniel came back stronger from the enforced break, and impressed during a close season trial at Championship side Barnsley to initially link up with the club’s Under-23 side in September 2020. Comfortable as an out and out winger, a wing-back or even as a striker, the versatile Bramall has made a real impact in the Professional Development League during 2020/21, firing five goals in four games at the start of the season.

That form saw him drafted in to the first team set-up by Barnsley boss Valerien Ismael, who gave the green light for the flying winger to get some more senior experience on loan Barrow in January 2021. Despite making his senior debut in the Football League, the winger made only three appearances during Barrow’s debut campaign in the EFL, as his one-year contract at Barnsley was not renewed upon his return to Oakwell.

A new challenge across the Irish Sea was now on the cards for the 22-year-old, as Ballymena United manager David Jeffrey swooped to bring Daniel to the Irish League as he sought to rebuild his forward line with the signings of Brammell, Jonte Smith and David Parkhouse with the gap left by the record Irish League transfer of Shay McCartan to Glentoran. With fans now back in full force in stadiums, the Englishman only showed glimpses of his potential to the United faithful during an inconsistent 2021/2022 season for both team and player.

Injuries hampered his progress at the Showgrounds, limiting Daniel to 19 appearances and one goal, as he missed out on a place in the Irish Cup final squad for the excruciating stoppage time defeat to Crusaders at Windsor Park.

In August 2022, the winger returned home to Yorkshire and signed for Scarborough Athletic, newly promoted to the National League North. After half a season and 17 appearances for the Seadogs, he took the decision to emigrate to Australia in January 2023 and duly signed for Caroline Springs who would go onto win the NPL Victoria 3 title during the 2023 season.

After almost a year and half ‘down under’, Bramall returned to England in May 2024 to join his hometown club Worksop Town in the Northern Premier League, and helped them gain promotion to the National League North during the 2024/2025 campaign. However, after a short loan spell at Cleethorpes Town in January 2026, it was announced that he was taking a break from football for personal reasons.
