Match Report

The Bedouins, an amateur team from Chesire visited Ballymena on Easter Saturday for an exhibition.

The weather, unfortunately, was not at its best, and this, combined with the fact that the game was not a competitive one, affected the attendance, the 'gate' being about the smallest one this season.

In what was purely an exhibition game Ballymena had all the best of it from the start, King in the home goal handling for the first time at the end of 20 minutes.

In the meantime the Beoduin goal had many narrow escapes, the timber being struck on several occasions and Clark now and again bringing off fine saves. At the end of 25 minutes, however, Robert Stewart beat him from close in with a header and in 33 minutes Ronald Cameron added a second.

Within half a minute of the restart Ronald Cameron added a third, and with six minutes gone Andrew Haddow ran clean through for fourth.

In 12 minutes Ronald Cameron put on a fifth and at 18 minutes Andrew Haddow added a sixth. Ballymena now eased off, but Bedouins failed to score even when they got a penalty, Edwards shooting past.
