Ballymena travelled to Bangor and met the locals in the only remaining match of the League. Bangor were without Maloney, and Ballymena were minus McCambridge.
Soon after the start Salisbury, after a fine run, centred, and McKinney put the ball in the net, but the point was adjudged offside.
Immediately afterwards the home defence was harsassed, Moore saving well. Clennel was fouled just outside the penalty area and took the kick himself, McDiarmid headed out, but William Chivers from the rebound, placed the ball in the net.
The reverse made Ballymena attack with more vigour, and for a time the Bangor goal underwent a fierce bombardment, but the defence held out. W. Ellis was injured in a melee near the goal and had to retire for a few minutes.
The game had only been resumed five minutes, when Jonathan Dalrymple equalised from Kilpatrick's pass. The Bangor right wing soon got going and Mal McKinney beat Gough from close range.
Bangor continued on the offensive, and McMullan got their third point.
